BMW owners, please note your car modern Alloy engines will not tolerate severe overheat.\u00a0 Due to the strength of Alloy, it will get tempered (destroyed) by overheating.<\/p>\n

Aluminum is a light metal, with low melting point.\u00a0Aluminum’s melting point\u00a0 is half of the\u00a0 cast Cast Iron’s meting point, which is beyond 1200 Celsius.<\/p>\n

Older cast iron engines did tolerate overheating better.<\/p>\n

In the event of overheating do yourself a favor and don’t try to drive your car home or to your favorite mechanic shop or you might need a new engine on arrival.<\/p>\n

Our advice is, turn engine\u00a0 off\u00a0 and get a tow truck. As much as it is inconvenient, towing \u00a0 is still\u00a0 your best and less expensive alternative.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
