Motor oil filter failure destroyed one of our customer’s\u00a0 2015 Porsche Macan\u00a0 S<\/strong> engine. When people going to learn, they get what they pay for? In this case, high end car and a\u00a0 budget oil filter did not match.<\/p>\n

This Porsche Macan<\/strong>\u00a0 came in with some knocking sound in the engine. The owner had an oil change done\u00a0 some time ago, at\u00a0 a well know, big Canadian chain’s car service. I wit-hold the chain name for legal reason.<\/p>\n

They installed a Korean made oil filter, it get clogged. You can see the filter on the photos down below.<\/p>\n

The clogged oil\u00a0 filter contributed to restricting the oil flow, in turn destroying the connecting rod bearings. Modern high performance Porsche\u00a0 engines<\/strong> must have the proper filters, seals gaskets installed or they will self destruct.<\/p>\n
